Alpha CFS Fountain Solution

ALPHA™ CFS Complete Fountain Solution is on the forefront of the latest innovations in high
performance, one-step, complete fountain solutions. ALPHA™ CFS is extremely versatile, low VOC and performs well with UV and conventional inks and works on multiple press types and press sizes. Its special formula helps prevent the build up of calcium, clay and paper fibers on rollers and blankets, resulting in cleaner, sharper print without the need for alcohol or an alcohol substitute.

Application Information
Safety First – Review Safety Data Sheet SDS) and secure proper Personal Safety and Protective Gear.
To Use:
1. The dampening system must be cleaned and flushed before using ALPHA™ CFS.
2. Mix at a ratio of:
Sheet Fed: 4.0 to 4.5 ounces of ALPHA™ CFS per one gallon of water –
4.0 – 4.5 oz / 1 Gallon.
Web: 3.0 to 3.5 ounces of ALPHA™ CFS per one gallon of water –
3.0 – 3.5 oz / 1 Gallon.
3. ALPHA™ CFS conductivity should be in a range of 900-1400 above water
4. Because ALPHA™ CFS contains no organic solvents, ink emulsification is reduced.
The resulting print shows sharpness, gloss, and accelerated drying.
5. ALPHA™ CFS does not require R.O. or refrigerated water.
6. Check all roller settings against manufacturer’s specifications. Start ink setting at a
level that is 15% below normal setting and keep stripes to the light side of specs.
7. If problems appear, check Shore A hardness of rollers.
