Alpha UPW Universal Press Wash

ALPHA™ UPW is a Patented, ultra-low VOC, universal press blanket and roller wash. It provides
excellent performance and increased sustainability for your pressroom and performs much like a 100%
VOC wash with powerful cleaning action and zero residual content. ALPHA™ UPW works on a vast
range of equipment and performs well in diverse environments which include conventional, digital and
high capacity photo copy printers. ALPHA™ UPW requires no premixing or diluting and can be used
manually as well as in cloth and brush Auto-Wash Systems*. In addition to its versatility, ALPHA™ UPW
benefits your pressroom by meeting or exceeding a range of health and safety requirements which
means a decrease in your pressrooms exposure to hazardous air pollutants and an increase its
sustainability.

* ALPHA™ UPW is not recommended for use on equipment with catalytic converters.

Safety First – Review Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and secure proper Personal Safety and
Protective Gear.
Hand Wash/Manual Application:

Cleaning Blankets
Apply ALPHA™ UPW to your favorite shop cloth and wipe blanket clean. (The amount of ALPHA™ UPW
and cleaning effort needed varies with how dirty your blankets are.) A quick follow-up with a water dampened cloth is recommended. Blankets are now clean and ready to run. Again, ALPHA™ UPW
does not require diluting and doing so is not advisable.

Cleaning Rollers
Apply ALPHA™ UPW just like you would a conventional roller wash. Once the rollers are clean and free
of ink, flush any remaining contaminants with fresh water. Rollers are now ready to run.

Automatic Wash Systems:
Cleaning Blankets and Rollers
Simply follow the same procedures as when using traditional auto-wash products. For first time
installations, we recommend consulting with an Explorer Pressroom Solutions representative prior to use.
